Bios:
• Kelly Corrigan, author of The Middle Place, founder of Circus of Cancer, colunmist
Kelly was diagnosed with Stage III breast cancer in August 2004, just days before her oldest daughter turned three. Her family was swarmed with support and kindness for months, carrying her through eight cycles of chemotherapy, a lumpectomy and two months of radiation. The meaningful and creative ways her friends found to support her was the inspiration for this site.
In her life outside cancer, she is Edward Lichty's wife, the mother of two small girls and a newspaper columnist in Northern California.
You can see her writing at www.kellycorrigan.com.

• Nan Davenport, designer, Circus of Cancer
Nan has been collaborating with Kelly since they first worked together in 1999. Together, they have made educational software to help kids learn Shakespeare, database software to help teachers track standards, online games to help middle school students master the basics, and marketing materials to help students find academic summer camps.
In her life beyond volunteering for Circus of Cancer, Nan is an artist who does illustration and design for a living and oil and mixed media art for its own sake. You can see her work at www.nannigans.com.

Contributions
Kelly and Nan have been working on the site since October 2004. So far, they have asked a few close friends for donations. Kelly and her husband, Edward, have also made a donation to protect Nan from slave labor laws. We are looking for other donors, people who understand that the silver lining of illness is the deep connections people make and the solitary satisfaction of 'stepping up' when someone is in crisis.

If you'd like to make a donation, please send a check to:
